New pricing for Mercedes-Benz SUV

Mercedes-Benz South Africa has dropped the price on its GLE 450d 4Matic to make it more accessible to customers.

Mercedes-Benz South Africa has announced it has revised local pricing of the GLE 450d 4Matic.

This decision was made to ensure this model is slightly more accessible to SA customers.

Alexandra Boavida, vice-president of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz SA said this realignment is not just a response to current trends, but a renewed commitment to delivering exceptional value propositions across the portfolio.

Locally, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450d 4Matic is now priced from R1 958 375, which signifies a R99 465 price decrease. As standard, the sticker price includes a two-year/unlimited km warranty and a five-year/100 000km maintenance plan.

As a reminder, the GLE 450d 4Matic is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbodiesel engine supplemented by 48 V mild-hybrid tech – the latter providing an additional 15kW and 200Nm boost to the internal combustion engine’s (ICE) 270kW and 750Nm, which is available from a low 1 350r/min, for short durations.

Power is delivered to the road via Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive system, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The German marque claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h. The GLE 450d 4Matic has a claimed fuel consumption of 7.5L/100km, which translates to a driving range of over

1 000km on a single, 80-litre tank of fuel.
