Spread the love: Make a butter board

This butter board blends sweet, savoury, and herby elements for a fresh take on grazing platters ideal for dinner parties or lazy lunches.

Move over cheese boards! This butter board is everything you love about sharing food: rich, flavour-packed, and impossible to resist. Recipe compliments of Goldcrest.

Serves: 6 – 8Prep time: 15 

Ingredients 

  • 350g Softened Unsalted Butter  
  • Goldcrest Basil Pesto  
  • Goldcrest Pure Honey 
  • Goldcrest Sun-dried Tomato Pesto  
  • Lemon zest 
  • Edible flowers  
  • Flaky salt  

Method 

  1. Mix the butter in a bowl to soften it into a spreadable consistency, make sure that it is not melted, only softened.  
  2. Spread softened butter on a serving board, making swirls and grooves to place your toppings. 
  3. Liberally sprinkle the butter with flaky salt and lemon zest. 
  4. Drizzle generously with honey.  
  5. Add a spoonful of each pesto into each groove on the butter so that everything is evenly spread out.  
  6. Sprinkle with edible flowers to decorate.  
  7. Serve with warm, crusty bread and your choice of fresh crunchy veggies.
