1 dead, 1 injured in Mpumalanga farm attack
Lydenburg police are searching for two suspects following an attack at a farm in the area.
A farm attack at Finsbury Smallholdings outside Lydenburg in Mpumalanga has left one person dead and another seriously injured.
According to Lowvelder, the attack, which occurred yesterday, claimed the life of a domestic worker and another person was seriously injured with a panga.
According to authorities, two suspects fled the scene and are still at large.
A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for the suspects as police intensified efforts to track them down.
One of the suspects worked at the farm.
The Lydenburg SAPS confirmed the attack and said an investigation is under way.
The motive for the attack is not yet known and no further information was available at the time of publishing.
The attack has shocked the community and left residents concerned about safety in the area.
