2 women reported missing after suspected home invasion in Johannesburg South

A private investigator says numerous specialist task teams have been deployed in the Eikenhof area to search for two women and an allegedly stolen vehicle.

Two women have been reported missing following a suspected home invasion in Eikenhof in Johannesburg South.

A home invasion is believed to have occurred at a property on Caymen Road near the Eye of Africa estate between 22:00 on Friday and 04:00 yesterday.

According to private investigator Mike Bolhuis, a property’s fence was cut and the house’s security gate was broken.

Two women have since been reported missing – Hester Flemming (52), who is 1.6m tall and slim, and Cecilia Johanna Flemming (82), who is also 1.6m tall and slim.

According to Bolhuis, the house was ransacked and two vehicles allegedly were stolen.

He says one of the vehicles was recovered at a car wash in Thokoza early on Saturday. The second vehicle, a metallic green Isuzu double cab LDV, is still missing.

“We suspect that the two women were taken by the [intruders]. No ransom demands or other communication have been made by the [intruders] or the victims at this time,” Bolhuis says.

Numerous specialist task teams have been deployed in the area to search for the women and the vehicle, says Bolhuis.
