Blue Bulls to tour Tshwane and Limpopo with Currie Cup

The Vodacom Blue Bulls will embark on a roadshow to Tshwane and Limpopo, with the Currie Cup.

The Currie Cup is South Africa’s oldest and premier provincial competition and despite their successes in the earlier years of the competition, a trophy that evaded the Bulls since 2009.

In the latest instalment of the competition, the Bulls beat the Sharks at the end of January to claim their 24th Currie Cup title; a title they dedicate to you.

“We have been saying it for many years now; as a supporter of the Vodacom Bulls, you are part of our family… a family 2,4 million strong,” Director of Rugby, Jake White, said after their victory.

To share in their glory, Bulls fans from Tshwane to Polokwane, will have the opportunity to take a picture with the trophy and celebrate with some of their heroes.

“From 15-18 March we will tour with the cup in Tshwane, before heading to Limpopo on 23 March. We’ll be between Bela-Bela and Lephalale on the 23rd and conclude the tour in Polokwane on the 24th,” Blue Bulls President, Willem Strauss told Review.

Strauss said some of the details, such as times and which players accompany the cup, still need to be finalised.

“It is very important that we take the cup to our fans, as they were unable to come to Loftus,” he added.

Strauss emphasised that Covid-19 regulations will be followed to ensure the safety of fans, players and staff.

More details will be announced in due course, he concluded.
