Boy in a coma after attack by bullies

Video footage of a boy who ended up in a coma after he was allegedly punched by a group of bullies continues to circulate online.

The incident, which appeared to be a case of bullying, was believed to have taken place in Kempton Park, Sandton Chronicle reported.

Parts of the video showing the bullies punching the boy were initially published on the Eblockwatch website and Facebook page.

Eblockwatch founder Andre Snyman said the victim’s doctor had contacted him following the incident.

“The doctor has asked Eblockwatch to intervene because the school is trying to cover it up and nothing is happening,” said Snyman.

“So basically, guys invite others to their house and then they beat them up,” said Snyman. “We want to help the doctor in trying to get to the bottom of what happened.”

Stop Bullying Now SA was started to raise awareness about bullying, as well as helping parents, teachers and children deal with incidents of bullying.
