BREAKING NEWS: Fire rages in Prospecton, Durban [PHOTOS]
The cloud of smoke is visible from most of south Durban and is causing traffic to gridlock on the N2, as Toti-bound traffic stalls on Twini Hill.
At least five fire engines have responded to a huge factory fire which is raging in Mack Road, Prospecton.
Part of the roof of the factory structure has already collapsed.
Metro Police is on the scene and marshalling traffic. The fire department has asked the Metro officials to close the road, as commuters start making their way home.
