City of Johannesburg honours fallen female JMPD officers
Public Safety MMC Mally Mokoena was joined JMPD acting Chief Sipho Dlepu to commemorate the occasion.
The City of Johannesburg yesterday morning (31 August) paid tribute to the brave women of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Public Safety MMC Mally Mokoena joined JMPD acting Chief Sipho Dlepu to lay a wreath in memory of the fallen officers on Grayston Drive, the area in which Officer Nothando Mboneni lost her life last year.

The mother of three was struck by a motorist while directing traffic on the off-ramp.
She died on the scene.
The MMC also held a short prayer service to mark the end of Women’s Month and remember those who have survived or lost their lives due to gender-based violence.
