Covid-19: Over 13 000 new cases reported on 9 July
Over two million people have been tested for the coronavirus.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize announced that there were 13 674 new Covid-19 cases reported on 9 July, bringing the total to 238 339 cases.
There were an additional 129 Covid-19-related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 3 720. The statement released by the minister said that the total number of deaths in Limpopo is 33, not 44 as reported by the department on 8 July. This was due to a data interpretation which has since been corrected.
Of the 129 deaths, 28 were recorded in the Eastern Cape, 37 were recorded in Gauteng, 37 were recorded in the Western Cape, 26 were recorded in KwaZulu-Natal and one was recorded in the Northern Cape.
There are 81 546 confirmed cases in Gauteng, 23 804 of which are recovered. In the Western Cape there are 74 815 confirmed cases, 55 534 of which are recovered. The total number of recoveries across the country is 113 061, which is a 47.4 per cent recovery rate.
Mkhize added that there were 56 170 new tests conducted and over two million people have been tested in total.
