Domestic worker gunned down, homeowner critically wounded in Pretoria robbery

A domestic worker was gunned down and her employer wounded during a house robbery in Villieria, Pretoria on Wednesday morning.
“We received a call around 11:00 about a house robbery on 28th Avenue,” said Kilnerpark Security spokesperson Ancelize van der Kooi.
“Armed suspects entered the house on 28th Avenue and tied up the domestic worker together with her employer. The suspects then shot both of them.”
Van der Kooi said the domestic died on the scene.
“The owner was critically injured and had to be airlifted to hospital. “The suspects left with the owner’s vehicle,” she said.
Police confirmed that a case of robbery was opened at the Villieria police station but could not provide further details.
