Dros rape: Chemical castration the solution – ANCWL
Nicolas Ninow pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and admitted to using drugs.
The ANC women’s league has called for the chemical castration of sex offenders, Rekord East reports.
Ninow pleaded guilty to two counts of rape.
League president Bathabile Dlamini said they wanted decisive action taken against sex offenders.
“In a war zone most of the time it is women that suffer,” she said.
“It should be the responsibility of the perpetrator to convince the court that he is innocent,” she said.
Dlamini said offenders should be denied bail and given life sentences with no possibility of parole.
She called on the government to publish the names of sexual offenders so they were known to all.
“Government must work in a proactive manner.”
Ninow admitted to undressing his then 7-year-old victim, forcing his genitals into her mouth and penetrating her vagina with his finger then later attempting to flush her underwear down the toilet.
The victim testified in camera.
The NPA said senior State Advocate Dorah Ngobeni would ask for a life sentence for Ninow.
