Family of woman found floating in Groblersdal water canal sought

Since the discovery two weeks ago of a woman’s body with barely any clothes on, no one has come to claim her.

The body of an unidentified woman was discovered face down in a canal close to the experimental farm on November 5. Police are now asking for help from the public to help identify the victim of what is currently being investigated as a ‘suspicious death’.

She was wearing a black, sheer mini dress without underwear, and was estimated to be in her late 20s. She had bleached blonde hair and was of medium build.

Police estimate she was dead for at least five days when the body was discovered. They are still investigating the circumstances around the suspicious death, and murder has not yet been ruled out.

Members of the public with possible information about the woman’s identity or people missing a loved one fitting the woman’s description are urged to call Lieutenant Colonel Edric Mukhwevho on 082 303 9927.
