Here’s Eskom’s load-shedding plan until Friday

Unwanted daily power cuts return as capacity constraints worsen.

Eskom has announced its planned load-shedding stages until midnight on Friday.

The power utility implemented stage 2 load-shedding at 07:00, on short notice, as it struggled to return some generating units to service.

Rolling power cuts throughout the day have been an unfamiliar occurrence for the past weeks as Eskom opted for stage 3 load-shedding during peak periods (16:00-00:00) only.

However, stage 1 power cuts will from tomorrow be implemented daily between 05:00 and 16:00 because of the current capacity constraints.
