Human skull found next to Mpumalanga graveyard

Community members who found human remains called law enforcement officers to the scene.

Police in Mbuzini in Mpumalanga have opened an investigation following the discovery of a human skull next to a graveyard and railway line on Tuesday.

While performing their duties, police received information from the community about a human skull found at Hhoyi Trust next to Mbuzini.

The police responded and found the skull on the ground, and other relevant stakeholders were called to the scene.

An inquest has been opened.

Anyone with information that could assist police in the investigation are urged to contact their nearest police station or call Crime Stop at 08600 10111. Information can also be reported via the MySAPS App.
