Eight generating units have broken down since last night, which has resulted in load-shedding being increased from this afternoon.
Eskom said in a short statement that stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented from 16:00 today until 05:00 tomorrow.
Thereafter, stage 3 load-shedding will be implemented between 05:00 and 16:00.
Eskom said a full media statement would be released later today.
