Man killed in Chatsworth drive-by shooting

A shooting incident occurred in Lenny Naidoo Drive last night, claiming the life of a man believed to be in his 40s.

A man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Chatsworth, Durban, last night.

ALS Paramedics, who were on the scene of the shooting incident, reported that one person was killed.

“Just after 15:15, ALS Paramedics responded to Lenny Naidoo Drive near Havenside Drive in Chatsworth for a shooting incident,” said the paramedics service in a statement.

They added that on arrival, SAPS were already in attendance.

“On arrival, paramedics assessed a male who was the driver of a vehicle who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and had unfortunately died as a result of his injuries.

“The man believed to be in his 40s was declared deceased on the scene,” their statement added.

The events leading up to the shooting are unknown, however, SAPS will be investigating further.
