Man ‘shoots and kills’ girlfriend’s brother

A murder docket has been opened after a man was shot and killed in Sithembile, Glencoe, in KwaZulu-Natal after an argument.

The suspect had allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend’s brother during the quarrel, Northern Natal Courier reported.

Police arrived at the scene and found the victim lying in bed in one of the backrooms with a gunshot wound in his forehead. He had already died on the scene.

They also found a .38 revolver and four empty cartridges, said police. The man allegedly also pistol-whipped his girlfriend during the argument. The boyfriend fled the scene, but he was traced and arrested.

Last Wednesday, a man was shot dead in his driveway in Chatsworth, Durban. The man was allegedly on his way to work when his family heard a gunshot.

“When they ran out, they found the man lying in the driveway, and his vehicle was missing,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

He died on the scene, added Botha.
