Man stabbed to death after trying to flee from his attackers
A man who was out with his friend tried to flee from his four attackers when they started stabbing him.

“On 24 October at about 6.40am our members were stopped by a passerby near Soul City who informed them about the body of an unknown man lying in an open space near Tudor Road. The deceased had sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper body,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso police.
According to him, witnesses told the police the deceased was with a friend at a local shebeen in the early hours of that morning.
The man went outside to relieve himself when four men allegedly attacked him. The witnesses said they saw the men stabbing the victim, who then tried to get away by running out of the yard, but the men followed him.
His friend did not see him again for the rest of the morning and had to identify his body later in the day.
The case was reported to the Kagiso Police and they managed to catch two of the men involved, one aged 23 and the other aged 26.
The 26-year-old man is currently under police guard in hospital, as it is alleged he sustained stab wounds to his hand and head during the attack on the victim. The other man will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court on murder charges.
