They had earlier been in the company of a man who had booked a room the bodies were found in.

An employee at a lodge at Masodi village outside Mokopane earlier today discovered the bodies of a 20-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter in one of the rooms.

Mahwelereng SAPS Communications Officer, Const Mantutule Masibe told Bosveld the room had been booked by a man who had accompanied the deceased.

After no movement was noted on Wednesday, a duplicate key was used to enter the room.

Police reports suggest the victims were strangled to death.

Investigations showed that the man who had booked the room and had been identified as the woman’s partner, is a foreign national.
