Gardener’s case continues
In a sombre courtroom scene at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on January 3, Pardon Danhire (37), a Zimbabwean national and former family gardener, appeared in court to face charges related to the double murder.
On the day, Danhire, who initially said he would defend himself, altered his legal strategy by applying for legal aid.
He also instructed his legal representative to abandon his bail.
The court proceedings saw the matter being postponed to January 24. The purpose of this delay is to determine whether the case will be transferred to the high court.
