North West double murder accused set to apply for bail again

A Kosmos man is accused of killing his wife and stepdaughter with a rifle.

A resident from Kosmos, North West, Paul Prinsloo (61), accused of shooting and killing his wife and stepdaughter in November last year again appeared in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Prinsloo allegedly shot and killed his wife Magdaleen Prinsloo (58) and stepdaughter Ruzanne Weideman (31) with a hunting rifle on November 27 at their home in Kosmos, Hartbeespoort.

Police previously said Prinsloo and the two women were involved in an argument before he fetched the rifle and allegedly shot them.

He was arrested on the scene shortly after the murders.

During a court appearance in December, Prinsloo abandoned his bail application and said he was hoping to get a lawyer appointed by the state. He had in the meantime obtained legal counsel who said that Prinsloo would apply for bail during the next appearance on March 18.
