Oversight visit to probe alleged shortage of medicines in KZN

KZN Health committee to investigate medicine shortages with a depot visit, following reports of public healthcare facility issues.

The KZN Health portfolio committee will embark on a fact-finding mission tomorrow to investigate claims of medicine shortages in the province’s public healthcare facilities.

The committee will conduct an oversight visit to the province’s medicine depot.

Committee chairperson Dr Imran Keeka says in light of ongoing reports about medicine shortages in public healthcare facilities, the committee resolved to carry out the visit following a special virtual meeting yesterday.
