Police on the lookout for Pretoria church robbers
A 13-year-old boy was assaulted and churchgoers were robbed at a place of worship over the weekend.

Hercules police are on the lookout for four men who robbed churchgoers at gunpoint after an evening service in Daspoort, west of Pretoria, last night.
The robbery took place around 20:05 at the Reformed Church on Van Riebeeck Road.
Chairperson of Hercules CPF Johan van Staden says the church members were locking up the building after the evening service when four armed men in a white Toyota arrived.
“The four robbed the churchgoers of their phones, money, and jewellery, and took one of the computers in the church,” Van Staden says.
“The robbers also assaulted a 13-year-old boy during the attack, hitting him over the head with one of the guns, and stomping on him while he was down,” he adds.
Van Staden says one of the churchgoers fired two shots at the robbers.
Witnesses gave a partial description of the white Toyota and said one robber wore red clothing.
Hercules CPF confirmed that the police were called to the scene and detectives are investigating.
Residents with information related to the robbery are urged to contact their local authorities.
