Scott-Crossley’s bail application denied
He had asked to be released on bail because he wanted to continue managing his farm.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo has confirmed that the case of Scott-Crossley has been postponed to March 24 for further investigation while he remains in custody, the Letaba Herald reports.
Following Mark Scott-Crossley’s bail application launch after he handed himself over to police in connection with the alleged attack on Silence Mabunda, 37, of Welverdiend in December, Crossley was denied bail by the Lenyenye Magistrate.
Members of the community protested outside the magistrates’ court demanding that justice take its course in the Scott-Crossley case.
Scott-Crossely asked to be released on bail because he wanted to continue managing his farm just outside Hoedspruit.
“Scott-Crossley will be returned to the Hoedspruit police cells, where he will be kept until he appears again in court,” stated Hoedspruit police spokesperson Livhuhani Mulaudzi.
