Brazil’s performance showed just why they were labelled pre-tournament favourites.
They weren’t at their ‘Brazilliant’ best, but even a somewhat off-form Brazil proved too hot for Serbia to handle as they barely engaged third gear to notch up a 2-0 win.

Ghana nearly rain on Portugal’s peri parade
Records were broken as Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in five World Cups.
No goals in the first half and five in the second – that’s the way to entertain the fans! And it was Portugal that came out on the right side of a 3-2 win over Ghana, with the Black Stars shining in a tremendous fight-back.

Swiss on a roll after narrow but worthy 1-0 win over Cameroon

Cameroon were quick out the blocks and had a couple of great early attempts that were brilliantly thwarted by Yann Sommer in the Switzerland goals.
It became rather predictable as the Swiss rolled the ball patiently and methodically, while Cameroon piled on the pressure with quick breakaways that had their opponents panicking.
