Stage 3 load-shedding announced after ‘temporary setback’

Eskom says it will give an update tomorrow.

After 20 days of uninterrupted electricity supply, Eskom suddenly announced the implementation of load-shedding this afternoon.

The power utility said the power cuts was due to a ‘temporary setback’ but did not elaborate on what the setback was.

Before load-shedding was announced at the beginning of February, South Africans enjoyed 10 months of uninterrupted electricity supply.

Stage 3 load-shedding was implemented from 17:30 until further notice.
