A police chase in Cosmo City in Gauteng on Saturday afternoon ended with one suspect fatally wounded and another arrested as officers continued their search for Jabulani Moyo, wanted for escaping from lawful custody and for the murder of two police officers in Roodepoort in August.

Police close in on leads

Randburg Sun reports that police say the confrontation happened while officers were closing in on leads connected to Moyo. During the chase, shots were fired, and one suspect was killed at the scene. A second suspect was taken into custody. Police have not confirmed whether either of the suspects is Moyo.

Moyo has been the subject of a major manhunt since August, when two officers were killed during his escape. Police have repeatedly warned that he is dangerous.
