VIDEO: Attempted car theft caught on camera
CCTV footage shows suspected car thieves attempting to steal a vehicle in a parking area in Kantoor Street, Florida, on the West Rand.

In the video, captured last Thursday at about 03.23am, the suspects’ car is seen pulling over at the gate of the building, and the suspects are seen getting out of the car. They then walk towards the gate, which they seemingly battle to open, Roodepoort Record reported.
Shortly afterwards, the suspects managed to open the gate and entered the premises. They walked towards the parking area and returned after they apparently failed to steal the car.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage emerged showing the same suspects attempting to steal a car in Florida last Wednesday.

In the video captured at about 4am, the suspects are seen roaming around the parking area of the building. Shortly afterwards, they are seen pushing a car towards exit of the parking area.
In May, CCTV footage showed armed suspects hijacking a man outside his business premises in Johannesburg.
The CCTV footage clip, which was uploaded on Facebook by Intelligence Bureau SA, shows the man locking up his business and walking towards his car, which is parked nearby, at about 6.05pm. While at his car, a silver BMW 3 Series approaches the man before four suspects armed with assault rifles get out of the vehicle and walk towards the victim.
The victim is seen putting his hands up and his head down while the suspects search him and his car. The suspects then push the victim away before fleeing in his car towards Jeppestown. The victim was left uninjured.
