A shooting took place yesterday evening at a drinking establishment in Ladysmith, the Hauser Park Sports Bar – better known as the Shute – in the Egerton area.

According to the Ladysmith Gazette, a person was shot dead following an altercation between two customers. The shooting occurred outside in the parking lot.

According to patrons, a single shot rang out, ending the altercation outside the pub. Police and emergency services were called.

When police arrived, a man handed himself over to officers, and a firearm belonging to him was removed from a vehicle.
