VIDEO: Van stolen in 79 seconds
CCTV footage shows two armed robbers stealing a van in 79 seconds at Action Ford Dealership in Krugersdorp, on the West Rand.
On the footage, a silver Audi is seen dropping off the two suspects at the entrance of the dealership at about 8pm yesterday, Krugersdorp News reported.

The two suspects are then seen approaching the guardhouse, where they point their guns at the guard and demand the keys to a vehicle.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s vehicle disappears from the scene, and one of the suspects is seen going to a vehicle while the other keeps the guard in the guardhouse at gunpoint.
Shortly afterwards, a white Ford Transit van is seen driving towards the entrance, where the suspects then drive off in the vehicle they stole.
As the suspects were fleeing the scene, the security guards pressed the panic button.
“After the guard managed to activate the panic button, EPR security patrol vehicles responded to the scene, but the suspects had already fled the scene,” said Johan Krogh, general manager for EPR.
The dealership’s principal, Hartogh Streicher, confirmed the incident and expressed his frustration about the frequency at which the dealership was being robbed.
This is reportedly the eighth incident the dealership experienced since the branch moved from the CBD to Kenmare.
“What makes this case difficult is that the stolen vehicle was new without any registration number plates,” said Krugersdorp police spokesperson Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale.
A case of armed robbery has been opened. No arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.
Last month, CCTV footage emerged showing suspected car thieves attempting to steal a vehicle in a parking area in Kantoor Street, Florida, on the West Rand.
