The baby elephant survived the ordeal but was later pictured with part of her trunk missing.

A video footage showing a crocodile attacking a baby elephant in Malawi’s Liwonde National Park has gone viral.

The video has been viewed more than two million times.

The video, uploaded by Alexander Makanga, shows a herd of elephants at a watering hole when the crocodile strikes, Northglen News reports.

As soon as the baby is bitten, the herd rushes in to stomp on the predator in an effort to loosen his grip.
