Watch: Heavy rainfall batters KZN, flooding roads and uprooting trees
Authorities are on high alert among heavy rainfall in KZN which has caused widespread flooding, road closures and damage to infrastructure.
KZN is experiencing another wave of rainfall, with widespread flooding reported across various parts of the province.
The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 5 warning for several municipalities, including Ray Nkonyeni, Umzumbe, Umdoni and eThekwini.
According to the warning, widespread showers and thundershowers are expected over the southern and western parts of KZN.

South Coast Herald reported that several trees have been uprooted, and roads are flooded.
According to Highway Mail, the eThekwini Municipality said disaster management and emergency services teams are on high alert since this morningâs heavy rains started.
âMotorists are urged to be on high alert as some roads in various parts of the City have been flooded,â advised the city.
Motorists were urged to be cautious and take the necessary precautions to stay safe.
