Watch: Quality of signings, drunk players – Cardoso calls out Chiefs’ downfall

In an explosive interview following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs, Daniel Cardoso has revealed he believes the quality of signings and lack of professionalism, with players even attending training intoxicated, led to the club’s downfall.

The central defender, Daniel Cardoso, spent seven years at Naturena after signing for the Kaizer Chiefs in 2015 and, despite coming close on several occasions, he didn’t win a single piece of silverware with Amakhosi.

The seven-year trophy drought at the Soweto giants has been unheard of in their glittering past and Cardoso, speaking to Robert Marawa on his Marawa Sports Worldwide show, revealed what he believes is some of the causes of the club’s downfall.

The former Free State Star defender didn’t hold back in his assessment of the club.
