Birthed in 2009, the annual SA Camp Fest began as only a one-day show before eventually evolving into the mega, three-day phenomenon it is now. Speaking to many of the owners of the vehicles, one instantly notices the pure love and passion for all things VAG related. Enthusiasts travel from all corners of the country, with some even stemming from neighbouring countries. The 2024 edition of the annual motor show saw an estimated 13 000 individuals attending the weekend-long event.

An estimated 300 vehicle entries are registered for the Show & Shine competition, with that number filtered down to 200 vehicles which are selected for the Show Area, before finally being split into Park Off and Finalists categories. Some of the categories include Mk1’s right through to the Mk8, Polo’s from the 6N, of which only one was entered, and up to the later 9N models which saw many entries for 2024. Audi’s were also present in large numbers along with other VAG products such as a Porsche 928, VW Taigo, VW T-Roc to mention a few.
