Pepson Plastics Kawasaki dominates GXCC championship opener

The 2024 season commenced on February 10 with Pepson Plastics Kawasaki’s stellar performance at the GXCC Gauteng championship opener, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.

Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Factory Racing, supported by Michelin, Motul, Bikewise and Scottish Cables, made a triumphant start in the 2024 GXCC Gauteng championship opener at the Lekoa Lodge in the Free State on February 10.

Pieter Holl and D’artagnan Lobjoit led the charge with impressive podium finishes, signalling a promising season for the team. Holl continued his winning streak, securing victory once again, while Lobjoit’s remarkable comeback saw him clinch third place overall after a two-year hiatus from competitive riding. Other standout performances included Wade Den and Ryan Angilley’s strong placements, showcasing the team’s depth and talent.

Despite challenges like Jaycee Nienaber’s technical issue and Cameron Becker’s injury substitution, Pepson Plastics Kawasaki maintained a strong presence throughout the event.

Reflecting on the opener, team boss Ian Pepper expressed optimism for the season ahead, aiming to carry the momentum into the upcoming rounds.

With Pepson Plastics Kawasaki’s dominance on display, the GXCC season promises thrilling competition and intense battles on the track.
