Hyundai Motor Company’s Ioniq 5 N has clinched a spot as one of the three 2024 finalists for the 2024 World Performance Car Award.
The World Car Awards revealed the top contenders in each category for this year at the Geneva International Motor Show. With over 100 international jurors test-driving and casting their votes, it is an esteemed annual event in the automotive industry.
The winners will be announced at a live ceremony on March 27, during the 2024 New York International Auto Show.
Hyundai’s nominations underscore the company’s rising prominence on the global stage and continue its streak of success at the World Car Awards. Previously, Hyundai Motor’s Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 secured consecutive wins for the 2022 and 2023 World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year, respectively.
Introduced in July 2023, the Ioniq 5 N marks a significant leap in high-performance electric vehicles (EVs), boasting cutting-edge technologies and enhanced racetrack capabilities.
It heralds the initial phase of the N brand’s electrification strategy, seamlessly integrating Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric Global Modular Platform with its motorsport-derived technologies. Leveraging the N model’s expertise from electrified “rolling labs”, the Ioniq 5 N aims to unleash the maximum performance of EVs.
