The Ford Territory: A new era in SUV excellence

Smaller, sleeker and as agile as its sibling, the Ford Everest, the debut of the new Territory, signals Ford’s entry into the compact SUV segment, promising a stylish, spacious and tech-savvy package.

Ford South Africa’s general manager for marketing, Doreen Mashinini, describes the new Territory as an enticing addition to their line-up, poised to captivate young, tech-savvy consumers. With its modern design and advanced features, the Territory is set to make waves in South Africa’s burgeoning SUV market.

 Progressive design

Embodying Ford’s ‘Progressive Energy in Strength’ design philosophy, the new Territory exudes confidence and dynamism from every angle. Striking LED lighting elements, including headlamps and 3D taillights, lend the model a distinctive identity. The strong shoulder line and sculpted body side accentuate its athletic stance, while alloy wheels and a panoramic moonroof add to its allure.

Sophisticated interior

Inside, the Ford Territory offers a blend of modernity and comfort. Horizontal lines accentuate the cabin’s spaciousness, while premium materials and soft-touch finishes elevate the ambiance. The double-deck console design integrates wireless phone charging and a panoramic moonroof, enhancing convenience and luxury. Ambient LED lighting, available on the Titanium model, adds a touch of elegance.

Advanced technologies

At the heart of the Territory’s cockpit is a panoramic display, featuring a high-definition digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment touchscreen. Bluetooth audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity ensures seamless smartphone integration. Safety is paramount, with features like electronic stability control, emergency brake assist and multiple airbags standard across all models.

Refined EcoBoost performance

Powered by a 1.8-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, the Territory delivers an impressive blend of power and efficiency. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it offers responsive performance and optimal fuel economy. Selectable drive modes adjust power delivery according to driving conditions, while advanced safety features provide added peace of mind.

Model line-up

The Ford Territory’s line-up comprises three models, the Ambiente, the Trend and the Titanium. Each variant offers a range of standard features, with the Titanium model standing out for its luxurious appointments and advanced technologies. The Territory caters to diverse consumer preferences and lifestyles from the entry-level Ambiente to the top-spec Titanium.

With its blend of style, comfort and technology, the Ford Territory is poised to carve a niche in South Africa’s compact SUV market. Whether navigating urban streets or embarking on weekend adventures, the Territory promises a rewarding driving experience for discerning consumers.
