Chemical Logistics Racing clinches Simola Hillclimb victory

The Chemical Logistics Racing team secured a 1-2 finish in the single-seater racing during the recent Simola Hillclimb in Knysna.

Chemical Logistics Racing seized victory at the Simola Hillclimb in Knysna from May 3 to 5. The weekend was packed with adrenaline-pumping moments as Robert Wolk claimed the coveted King of the Hill title. At the same time, Ian Schofield dominated the C2 class, securing a remarkable team 1-2 finish in single-seater racing.

Wolk’s impressive 37.13s run in the C3 class Investchem Pilbeam MP58 Infiniti V8 secured his overall victory, while Schofield triumphed in the C2 class with a 42.05s effort in the Investchem Formula 1600 Mygale Ford.

Reflecting on the win, Wolk expressed his elation, acknowledging the challenges faced during the weekend. Despite technical issues with the Pilbeam, the team’s dedication paid off with a triumphant result.

Schofield echoed Wolk’s sentiments, emphasising the significance of the victory after persistent pursuit. The team now sets its sights on the next challenge at Zwartkops Raceway’s National Championship Extreme Festival on May 18.
