2025 Corvette Stingray arrives in SA

With jaw-dropping performance figures and a price tag to match, the Corvette range promises to shake up South Africa’s high-end sports car scene.

Distributed via CVH Auto Group, which is based in Bryanston, Gauteng, the first factory-built right-hand-drive Corvette Stingray units have officially touched down on South African shores.

As a reminder, the Corvette Stingray ships with the US automaker’s Z51 performance package as standard. Equipped with a 6.2l naturally aspirated V8, which delivers 369kW and 637N.m of torque to the road via the rear wheels, the Stingray completes the obligatory 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 3.5 seconds.

However, this isn’t the only model available in South Africa. Indeed, the more focused Z06, which employs a 5.5l atmospheric V8, also forms part of the local model offering. The Z01 is endowed with 475kW and 595N.m of torque, which allows this model to sprint to the 100km/h marker from a standstill in a claimed three seconds.

The Stingray is priced from R3 700 000 to R7 600 000 locally, and is available in both a coupé and convertible body styles.
