What you need to know about the new Renault Captur
The thoroughly revised Renault Captur has launched in South Africa, with Renault SA announcing pricing and specs for the updated model line-up.
Following the local introduction of the updated Kiger last month, the revised Renault Captur line-up has touched down in South Africa.
Similar to the updated Triber and Kiger, the Captur range adopts updated nomenclature for the trim grades – Zen and Intens have been nixed for Techno and Iconic, respectively, while a new flagship has been introduced to the lineup in the shape of the Esprit Alpine.
The interior features a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, replete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and automatic air conditioning, to name but a few items. The Espirit Alpine flagship variant gains heated front seats. The interior also receives two USB Type-C ports, a wireless smartphone charging bay, air vents for the second row, and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat. The Captur boasts a claimed boot capacity of 616 litres.
2025 Renault Captur price in SA
The updated Renault Captur is priced from R515 999, making it R26 000 more expensive than the outgoing model. Included in the price is a three-year/45 000km service plan and a five-year/150 000km warranty.

The Renault Captur is powered by a 1.3l, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 113kW and 270N.m of torque. The powertrain is exclusively coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 1.3l mill returns a claimed 6.6l/100km fuel consumption. The Captur receives four driving modes, Comfort, Eco, Sport and Perso, the latter allowing the driver to customise vehicle parameters to their preferences.
