Dewald Brevis gets IPL call-up
Dewald Brevis joins Chennai Super Kings as an injury replacement in the Indian Premier League after a strong SA20 performance.
Dewald Brevis has been called up by an IPL franchise as an injury replacement.
Brevis will join the Chennai Super Kings for 2.2 Indian crore (around R4.8m).
The 21-year-old previously played 10 matches for the Mumbai Indians in the 2022 and 2024 IPL seasons.
Brevis made his mark in this year’s SA20, scoring 291 runs in 12 matches for eventual champions MI Cape Town at an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 184.17.
