An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the rape of two girls, aged seven and nine years old respectively, in Dannhauser, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to police reports, the girls’ mother locked them in their house on Blackbank Farm and went to the local clinic on January 6, the Newcastle Advertiser reported.

The suspect reportedly forced a door open with a knife, raped the two girls and then fled the scene.

The children informed the mother of what had happened when she returned from the clinic. She then reported the incident to the Dannhauser Police Station.
