School deputy principal killed outside court in Limpopo

The deceased was stabbed by the suspect at the entrance of the courtroom as he was about to make a call to the lawyer.

A 36-year-old suspect has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed and killed a deputy school principal in front of Lenyenye Magistrates’ Court outside Tzaneen, Limpopo.

It is alleged the deputy principal was appearing as an accused in a taxi-related case when he asked the court to allow him to contact his lawyer, who was not in court at the time, Letaba Herald reported.

“In what appeared to be a vengeance attack, the deceased was stabbed by the suspect at the entrance of the courtroom as he was about to make the call.

“He was not in custody. The deceased managed to get back into the courtroom, walked through to the magistrate’s office, where he collapsed and died. The suspect was immediately arrested,” police said.
