Pep Store employees robbed by armed suspects in Polokwane

It is unknown at this point what was stolen during the armed robbery.

The store will be closed until further notice following an armed robbery this morning.

Street vendors and Pep Store employees were ambushed by an unknown number of robbers during an armed robbery, which took place at the Pep Store on Landdros Marè Street in Polokwane this morning, Review Online reports.

It is alleged the suspects robbed the store and fled the scene soon after.

According to security guards on the scene, the suspects were caught on the corner of Rissik and Kruger streets.

According to Pep management, an armed robbery did take place however, they referred Review to the police for more information.

Police and security guards are still on the scene and the store will remain closed until further notice.

Investigations are ongoing.
