Boy, 12, stabs man during altercation

An argument allegedly broke out among a group of men when a boy pulled a knife and 'stabbed' one of the men several times.


A 12-year-old boy brutally stabbed a man following an altercation in Bayview, KwaZulu-Natal.

Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said his unit responded to the scene on Monday, the Rising Sun Chatsworth reported.

“It is alleged an argument had broken out among a group of men on a property in Lenny Naidu Drive at around 5.30pm. The boy pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the men several times. Citimed paramedics treated the victim at the scene of the crime,” said Mathios.

Bayview police spokesperson Warant Officer Collin Chetty said officers from the Bayview SAPS were at the scene.

“The relevant parties were taken down to the police station. However, no case was opened. We urge the relevant parties to open a case regarding the incident,” he said.
