Jessica the hippo couple robbed

It is alleged the couple were tied up with chains and wires.

The incident occurred at about 3am on the morning of July 12, 2017, at the home of the famous Jessica the hippo, Lowvelder reports.

According to the information received, the male complainant went to the bathroom at about 3am, where he was grabbed and pushed down on to the floor by four men. Two of the men were armed.

They started beating him and kept on telling him to remain quiet. He and his wife were then tied up with chains and wires.

The suspects demanded that the couple tell them where their safe keys were, which they did.

The suspects stole two rifles, a shotgun, flat-screen TV, laptop, cash to the amount of R40 000 as well as the couple’s silver Mitsubishi bakkie.
