Dr Nandipha’s legal team confident she will walk scot-free

Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s lawyer advocate Themba Diba believes his client would walk out scot-free from all the charges she faces.

Diba told The Citizen he believed in his client’s case and “that’s all I can say.”

Derek Hanekom appointed new SAA interim chair

Former minister of tourism Derek Hanekom has been appointed as interim non-executive director and chairperson of South African Airways (SAA).

Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan made the announcement on Monday.

Murder case against ANC MP Sibusiso Kula postponed to next week

The case against African National Congress (ANC) MP Sibusiso Kula has been postponed to 26 April 2023, for his attorney to present an application to oppose further postponement on the matter.

Kula, 34, who appeared at the Orkney Magistrate’s Court on Monday, is accused of killing his wife last year.

The African National Congress (ANC) will start cracking the whip on party members implicated in the VBS Mutual Bank corruption scandal.

The ANC in Limpopo was previously accused of failing to deal with those allegedly involved in the looting of R2 billion from the bank.

Eskom to keep SA in stage 5 and 6 load shedding ‘until further notice’

Eskom has announced that stage 6 load shedding will continue until 5am on Tuesday.

Stage 5 load shedding will then be implemented from 5am until 4pm. Stage 6 will then return during the evening from 4pm until 5am.

Lionel Richie, Katy Perry to play King Charles’ coronation show

Take That, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Andrea Bocelli will be among those performing at a concert to mark King Charles III’s coronation, the BBC said on Friday.

A televised Coronation Concert is being held in the grounds of Windsor Castle, west of London, on May 7 – the day after Charles is officially crowned king.

It is clear that Kaizer Chiefs are not done with Orlando Pirates judging by their players’ reaction after the Nedbank Cup semifinals draw on Sunday.
