Girl, 10, stabbed to death in Ekurhuleni

According to Reiger Park Police Station commander Colonel Else Mashinini, a girl’s naked body was found on Saturday morning, April 1, Boksburg Advertiser reports.
“She had sustained stab wounds to her neck and stomach, “said Mashinini.
One police officer told the Advertiser he suspects the girl was abducted and raped before she was murdered and dumped.
Mashinini said it is unclear if the girl was sexually assaulted.
It is reported that the girl’s parents were not at home when the child disappeared.
“The child’s mother told us that she left the child in question with the grandmother and other children of the family. The grandmother apparently also left the compound, leaving the children on their own. The parents returned home and allegedly went to sleep without noticing that one of the children was a missing. They only got to know about this incident when the police approached them to identify the body.”
The child’s uncle, Romeo Bosman, said the child was apparently abducted during the early hours of Saturday morning from her room.
“We understood that someone knocked on the door, and the child opened the door for the person who was most likely her abductor. The grandmother at the time was asleep.”

People living nearby the scene reportedly told the police that they heard a child screaming in agony.
The people of Ramaphosa has recently seen a number of tragic killings of children.
The murder of three-year-old Cuburne van Wyk, whose partially burned body was on Saturday, August 9, found on the mine dump, in Reiger Park, sent shockwaves through the Ramaphosa residents.
Police eventually arrested Katlego Mpoku, otherwise known as “Chicken”, in connection with the brutal murder.
Mpoku was later found guilty for kidnapping and murdering Cuburne.
In another gruesome killing, police are still hunting the killer(s) of 10-year-old in Ramaphosa.
The girl’s partially burned and half-naked body was found hidden in the bushes in Ramaphosa, with socks stuffed in his mouth and a used condom alongside his body.
