Home course can suit Sefatsa
It isn't so much the size of the field at this year's BMG Classic, but the quality of players making up the number of entrants who will attack the layout at Glendower Golf Club over the next few days.

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise though given that this event will give those players who will be back at the same venue for next month’s SA Open a chance to get to grips with the parkland layout that can prove tricky if underestimated.
Teboho Sefatsa will once again be looking to use local knowledge on his home course when he defends his crown over the 54-hole event and while it may be an opportunity to follow up on what was his first Tour win, doing the double could add sheen to his 10th year as a professional.
But his form of late has been worrying with his best performances this year coming at the Telkom PGA Pro-Am back in January and the Platinum Classic, last month, when he finished in a tie for 11th in both events.
The field will also include 2011 winner James Kamte and 2010 victor Brandon Pieters which bodes well for a weekend of competitive golf. But perhaps the biggest challenge may come in the form of Hennie Otto.
While he hasn’t featured in a Sunshine Tour event since finishing tied for 42nd at the Zimbabwe Open back in April, it’s his form on the European Tour over the past few months that bodes well for a good showing over the par-72 layout.
While there have been some erratic performance in Europe, these have been outshone by several finishes just outside the top 10 in the Scottish and French Opens, and it all seems to have clicked into place over the past month.
