Jaguar sports car driver arrested for doing 231km/h

The man is in detention and awaits a court appearance soon.


A male driving an F-Type Jaguar sports car was arrested this morning at around 07.30am on the N4 Road for driving at 231km/h near Alkmaar in Mpumalanga, Lowvelder reports.

Department of community safety, security and liaison spokesman Mr Joseph Mabuza said: “The man was taken to the Nelspruit Police Station for detention before his court appearance. He will be charged for Reckless and Negligent driving.”

Mr Stanley Sedibe (40), who was driving made a brief appearance and was released on R1 000 bail and and will appear in court on April 21.

MEC Pat Ngomane applauded the two officers for such a great work, saying “suicidal drivers” should be removed from the road as they also put the lives of other road users in danger.
